to live for the hope of it all

Let us break it down...

Our Father's Children is just one, big umbrella.

We encompass multiple programs, supporting abused & neglected Texas youth ages 6-18, and operate a campground facility in East Texas.

Beginning in 1999 as a group of volunteers hosting a session of Royal Family Kids Camp, we quickly grew within a few short years to add a second session of Royal Family and launch our non-profit to incorporate weekend retreats for teens aging out of camps.

Onward & Upward is offered twice a year for teens ages 12-15. This weekend retreat's curriculum focuses on character building and self-esteem. The Summit, also offered twice a year, is for 16-18 year olds with an emphasis on life skills and future building. RISE retreats are separated by gender, in April for teen boys and November for girls. This curriculum addresses tough issues for ages 12-18 in relaxed settings. (Think of RISE as just one, awesome slumber party!)

To do all these things, we saw the need to purchase our own campground so we weren't constantly fighting for rental space within a reasonable drive.

Enter Camp Akiva - formerly known as CCLW.

Located in Point, TX, Camp Akiva is where we call home. When we're not utilizing the facility, it's available for rent! If you're looking for a great company or church retreat space, visit CampAkiva.org

Camp Akiva

This is our favorite place! OFC bought this existing campground in 2012, and we have been obsessed ever since. Camp Akiva is 50 acres of peace, fun, rest, laughter, and safety in East Texas. This is where we host all of our programs, and we also rent out this space throughout the year. Seriously, you wanna come visit. Trust us.
